First time I had to format my computer but now I'm having again this problem and I really would like to solve it without formatting my pc. When I try to run ASP pages with iis I have this error (I'm asp 0129 unknown scripting language using win xp-pro): HTTP 500.100 - Internal error of the server - error ASP Internet Information Services Type of error: Active Server Pages, ASP 0129 (0x80004005) Impossible to find in the server the language "javascript". And I've notice a strange thing: If i run localhost/localstart.asp now it askes me a user and password but I've never setted it. Any help would be appreciated. Any ideas why, and how to fix it please? None, outside of changing "JavaScript" to "JScript" in the first line of the page. I don't know if that will help: it's just the first thought that occurred to me. Frankly, this sounds like a bug that should be addressed by MS PSS. IIS is using shared config in a DFS configuration. the application pools are divided somewhat equally among the sites. We are active server having an issue with the application pools failing intermittently to create objects and recognize script engines. Active Server Pages error 'ASP 0129' Unknown scripting language /mp_admin/upload.asp, line 1 The scripting language 'VBScript.Encode' is not found on the server. _________________________________________________________________ 502 - Web server received an invalid response while acting as a gateway or proxy server HTTP Error 500.0 - Internal Server Error active server pages ______________________________________________________________________ Server object error 'ASP 0177 : 800401f3' Server.CreateObject Failed \\CODER\DEVERSION\MANAGER\../mp_includes/stylesheetsettings.asp, line 161 800401f3 Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a000d' Type mismatch: '[string: ""]' /mp_manager/menu.asp, line 272 The fix thus far has been to: 1) recycle the app pool 2) recycle IIS 3) reboot the webserver we have been all over learn.iis.net; technet; to look for configuration issues once the app pool goes down failed trace routing does not provide any more information that what you see above - event logs also do not contain anymore info than what is shown above We are wondering if it is how IIS is processing the shared config. DFS is set up in a star/spoke configuration - the vbscript.encode error is directly related to a client updating pages on their websites. explain the problem: everything worked fine until I installed a ServletExec (a JSP engine). Before that ASPs ran just fine, but since the install I get the following error: Active Server Pages error 'ASP 0129' Unknown scripting language /Default.asp, line 1 The scripting language 'VBScript' is not found on the server. Actually, I get the same thing for JSCRIPT (except for the last line of course). I've tried everything I could think of: - First of all I deinstalled ServletExec of course - didn't help - Then I deinstalled Option Pack 4 for NT Workstation and installed it again - same problem - I downloaded Windows Scripting Engine 5.1 and installed it - nothing changed I can run .wsh files, so the scripting components seem to be ok. That leaves the link between IIS and the scripting engine. The ASP.DLL is registered for ASP files in the IIS config and is present on the system, so I have no idea what could still be wrong. Does anyone have any idea on how to fix this problem (without having to advalvas.be (drop the spaces). Thanks, Kurt Fri, 20 Dec 2002 03:00:00 GMT Page 1 of 1 [ 1 post ] Relevant Pages 1.
