In other words, no iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch 3G support. iREB (iTunes Restore Error Bypasser) is a neat little tool that will help you fix these errors. Step 1: Download iREB from here. Step 2: Launch iTunes and put your iPhone in DFU mode (hold power and home button together for 10 seconds; release the power button and keep holding the home button until iTunes tells you it has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. Step 3: Once iTunes has detected your iPhone in recovery mode, close iTunes and launch iREB. Step 4: Select your device and wait for the screen to go red or white. Step 5: Launch iTunes and hold the SHIFT key while clicking on restore. A window will open. From there just browse for the custom firmware you want to restore to. You should be good to go. iTunes should restore your iPhone to the desired firmware without giving you any error. Share: Tweet Follow: Follow @iDownloadBlog We Recommend Common

Posted by in Blog iTunes error on April 8th, 2013 | Leave a comment TAGS: iTunes error message, iTunes restore error, iTunes unknown error An iTunes error 1604 usually appears while you are trying to do a restore or update job by saying that: “The iPhone ‘iPhone’ could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (1604)”. Typically, this iTunes error code has something to do with USB timing and may stop you from running the iTunes correctly. To solve the error, you can directly follow the tutorials here. When getting the iTunes error code 1604, try changing USB ports and use a different dock connector to USB cable to see whether the code disappears or not. However, if you are using a dock, bypass it and connect directly to the white Apple USB dock connector cable. If this does not fix the error, try these steps: *Connect the device to iTunes, confirm that the device is in Recovery Mode. *Restore and wait for the error to appear. *When prompted, click OK to go. *Close and reopen iTunes while the device remains connected. *The device should now be recognized in Recovery Mode again. *Try to restore again and the error code 1604 may disappear. Secondly, you can update the iTunes to the latest version. Some bugs or problems in the older version of the iTunes will stop you from running the program correctly and display an iTunes error code 1604 message. So do remember to always update the program when there is an update available. To do it, just open your iTunes, and then choose Help > Check for Updates. Sometimes, the out-of-date or incorrectly configured security software, firewalls, and router settings or firmware may also cause this iTunes problem. If this is the case for you, then you need to make sure that all security software and other computer utilities are kept up to date and properly configured to effectively protect the computer as well as allow an update or restore to continue without an error code 1604 or some other iTunes errors like iTunes err
