Just bought the new 40 GB iPod to replace my 1st generation 10GB one. I get : "Attempting to copy to the disk "[volume name]" failed. An unknown error occurred (-69)." where [volume name] is the name of my iPod. The error occurs when synchronizing it with iTunes. I transferred 5013 (~28GB) songs over to it and it happend about 20 times before the whole collection was synchronized. It seems to be happening arbitrarily, sometimes after a 100megs, other times after 5 gigabytes. Needless to say this really sucks. Its synchronized now so I don't really care that much. Also, I am experiencing the folder distribution bug mentioned. About 3000 songs are in F04 and the other 2000 are in F00. I haven't noticed any performance issues related to this yet, but im wondering if the file distribution problem is somehow related to this "unknown error (-69)" problem. Anyone else gettting this error? spiny 10-19-2003, 03:05 PM #2 Slinc Freshman Lounger Join Date: Oct 2003 Posts: 6 permalink Im got this prob to but i dont have much of a libary so didnt notice it much. 10-19-2003, 03:20 PM #3 spiny Freshman Lounger Join Date: O

This error occurs when iTunes tries to send files to your iPod, but a file (or files) is unusable (something is wrong with it). To figure out which file (or files) is causing the error, update to the latest version of iTunes and then do this: Control-click (Mac) or right-click (Windows) on your iPod icon in the iTunes Source pane, then choose Sync Songs from the shortcut menu. Watch the display at the top of the iTunes window while your iPod is being updated. The name of the prob
