That error is indicative of file corruption. Unless you have a backup and can restore the original file before editing, you may be out of luck. You might also want to run a FSCK on your internal hard drive as that could be what caused the corruption. Question is: Is there http://www.flashadvisor.com/forum/threads/2764-Unknown-Error-Occurred-While-Accessing-Cartoon.fla any way to open it? The best I can do right now is take the .swf version of it and import it to stage. That at least gets all the animation back, but it also loses ALL the sound effects and eliminates all the nuances of the animation (I can't go back and tweak tweens over several frames, etc.) Is there any way to retrieve my .fla in tact? 09-17-200702:33 AM # ADS Advertisement by Join Date Always Posts Many 09-17-200701:45 PM #2 NTD View Profile View Forum Posts Private Message Visit Homepage Moderator Moderator Join Date May 2004 Location U.S.A. Posts 2,890 Hi, A couple things to try. Click on the .fla file without flash open and see if it will initiate the program. Next, open flash and try opening the file from flash itself. If neither of these work, your .fla file is corrupted. I have had this happen before. Your alternatives to a corrupt file.....redo it from scratch or look into a decompiler and use the .swf file to recreate an .fla file. I've updated to 7.2 as well. The only other thing... we are currently trying out a program called XC Connect which shares iCals throughout the office. When it synchronizes every 10 mins, I think that disrupts Flash saving to the server. Maybe/ maybe not. Anyone use XC Connect? Any problems with it? kreydle 0PermalinkUpvoteDownvoteDogearFlagShow [[ numHiddenNotes ]] more notesAdd NoteSaveCancelJazX0 -selene UK JazX 0PermalinkUpvoteDownvoteDogearFlagShow [[ numHiddenNotes ]] more notesAdd NoteSaveCancelFariska0 Had similar experiences.Probably someone/something renamed/deleted/modified the file you opened.Nothing you cand do... or maybe just a copy&paste to another file.
