I have a farm divided in two zones. 1 Swedish zone and one German zone. The Swedish zone is Provisioning servers running on Xenserver about 80 servers. Xenapp 4.5 on W2003And the German zone is physical servers mixed with Virtual Servers. Both Xenapp 4.5 on w2003 64bit.I have started to notice some errors on the German servers in the Delivers Service console: "Health Monitoring and recovery test failed" When this has happened. Step 1 Before starting I created a backup of my data store take a look at http://www.geekshangout.com/?q=node/32 for instructions Step 2 I created a http://www.geekshangout.com/citrix-migrating-the-data-store-from-ms-access-to-ms-sql-2005/ new database and user on the SQL server Step 3 On one of the Citrix Servers I created a file DSN that pointed to my new SQL database I saved this DSN as SQL.dsn in C:\Program Files\Citrix\Independent Management Architecture\ Step 4 I ran the below command to begin the copy of the data in the access database to the SQL database dsmaint migrate /SRCDSN:"C:\Program Files\Citrix\Independent Management Architecture\MF20.dsn" /srcuser:citrix /srcpwd:citrix /DSTDSN:"C:\Program Files\Citrix\Independent Management Architecture\SQL.dsn" /DSTUSER:citrix /DSTPWD:citrix 1 dsmaint migrate /SRCDSN:"C:\Program Files\Citrix\Independent Management Architecture\MF20.dsn" /srcuser:citrix /srcpwd:citrix /DSTDSN:"C:\Program Files\Citrix\Independent Management Architecture\SQL.dsn" /DSTUSER:citrix /DSTPWD:citrix
But I received an error “An unknown error occurred with the destination data store while starting the migration process” 1 “An unknown error occurred with the destination data store while starting the migration process” In my case this was because I had forgotten to give my SQL user any permission to the database. After correcting this I ran DSMaint migrate again but now received the message “An unknown error occurred while migrating the table, please verify the destination datasource is clean. Version 6.26 is the latest version on Windows 2003 32-bit servers, and should be under the "C:\Program Files\Citrix\System32" folder. The command line options can be difficult to an unknown error work out at times. Googling is your friend, but try the /clean option first. Cheers, Jeremy. We have a brand new farm, of which recently i was unable to remove servers from (if I right click the farm, and select remove, the MMC just hangs) and then today I cannot select individual properties of the published applications ... Its a XA Farm with R04.... W2K3... The SQL Server space filled up recently on the database drive (lame) Could it be a FARM DB Issue where the DB has corrupted itself? Though not noticeable until today (disk space error happened about 2 weeks ago, and of course all backups are only 1 week - as its not even live yet) dsmaint recreatelhc works but when verified comes up with "An unknown error occurred while reading the entry table" the database has been restored back a week only to contain th
