and otherwise handle them from one angle, unless you're willing to remove and disassemble the player itself. Thus, stuck CDs in cars can be a particularly annoying problem. Luckily, a variety of DIY fixes exist for this common headache. Note, however, that, if done improperly, some of these fixes can damage your player (or the CD stuck in it). The advice car cd error 3 in this article shouldn't be a substitute for the opinion of an automotive expert. See Step 1 below to get started. Steps Method 1 Using the Power and Eject Buttons 1 Turn the car off. Some CD players have a "force eject" function that's specifically designed to get CDs out when other methods have failed. Because this method doesn't require you to tamper with your CD player in any way, it's smart to start here - you have nothing to lose if it doesn't work. First, turn your car off if it isn't already. 2 While the car is off, hold the power and the eject button. Press your CD player's power and eject buttons down at the same time, holding them for about ten seconds. If your stereo has a "force eject" feature, it should spit out the CD. 3 If this doesn't work, start the car and try again. Some CD players may not function when the car is turned off. For these players, try pressing and holding the power and eject buttons while the car is running. 4 Cons

I assumed the lens needed cleaning, so I purchased a CD lens cleaner and, you guessed it, it will not play that CD either. Duh! I have read that removing the radio fuses and then plugging them back in will "reset the CD player back to factory settings." I tried that, and all it did was set my radio's clock back to 12:00! I'm pretty sure the answer to the question is "that's a shame... buy a new car stereo." But if anyone has any bottom of the ninth, two outs suggestions, I would appreciate it. Thanks! Update: Ya Alex, I pulled mine out of the dash too... Problem is it looks like it will be like breaking into Fort Knox to get at the lens.... I'll probably end up over-paying for some car stereo joint to fix it. Either that, or probably end up breaking the thing. Thanks! Those disk are playing in my laptop. PvtPublic 2014-01-05 17:13:29 UTC #4 It means you probably have a bad CD drive in your stereo unit. It can be fixed, but probably will be less expensive to replace the whole stereo. Check out www.crutchfield.com Good selection, reasonable prices, and all the tech support you will need if you choose to attempt the job yourself. 2014rubyred3500 2014-01-05 19:39:55 UTC #5 that would be crutchfield.com. I second that decision. They are AMAZING to deal with and supply with everything you need to switch to aftermarket radio. PvtPublic 2014-01-05 20:25:20 UTC #6 Oooooops damn stupid typing fingers. corrected now. edb1961 2014-01-05 21:04:16 UTC #7 Are this home made CDs or store bought? Home made CDs did not always work in my 2000 Blazer. Another question, do you leave the CDs in the player? If I left a CD in the player overnight, the next day I would sometimes get an error message, especially on colder or damper nights. My best guess was that there was some condensation on the CD that was interfering with playback. Once the Blazer warmed up the CD player would start working again. Don't leave a CD in the unit overnight and try again the next day. Try a store bought CD if the home made one doesn't work. And at that time I was in Utah, it was 27 F temperature in night. So I can't fix it myself now ? knfenimore 2014-01-05 23:12:58 UTC #9 Had the same problem with my 99 Camry. I replaced the whole radio. My 09 Camry I use my phone plugged into the Aux port. Aux port is in the door below the radio in the center console. I put my whole CD collection on it and it a whole lot better than dealing with CD's. dagosa 2014-01-05 23:22:52 UTC #10 Try a CD with brush cleaner for laser lens. If it doesn't take it, it may need replacement . If you have to buy new, convert CDs to mp3 and be done with it. @edb1961 has some good points. These units last a long long time....but are suspect in cars if things aren't perfect. keith 2014-01-06 02:34:12 UTC #11 An aftermarket system may not be
