Gepubliceerd op 25 dec. 2014Please see - https://www.edshvac.com This video covers common problems with the 31 fault code on this furnace. These furnaces were manufactured between about 1994 and 2010. We did not discuss that the pressure switch itself could possibly be bad. Not likely on this furnace. Vent sizing and length as well as proper pitch should always be verified in the installation manual. Vent termination outside the house is always a factor. Follow the installation instructions. During the latest production of this furnace, the pressure switches were all bad from the factory. They will have 1.58"wc on the sticker and and be made in Mexico if I remember right. I was on a service call today for a bryant 80plus 395CAV and the control board was showing error 31 pressure draft safegaurd/ Aux Limit. Of course this could be a potential problem with either the draft fan, pressure switch or aux limit but all checked ok. Aux limit was not tripped and was closed. Inducer runs and operates correctly. Pressure switch shows open when inducer is off and closed when inducer runs. I checked voltage on the common side of the draft switch and monitored to make sure the draft switch was not droping out while inducer was running and found everything to check fine.I noticed

Bryant 90 plus furnace wont fire. http://www.justanswer.com/hvac/5nxq6-bryant-plus-90-furnace-model-number-350mav036080.html [Deleted User] Member Posts: 23 May 2013 in Gas Heating Hey everyone, Their is a Bryant 90plus furnace that is aggravating me to death. It will not fire and I cannot seem to pin point the problem. The furnace is about 14 code 31 years old. The control was giving me an error code of 31 - pressure switch, rollout, high limit, Failure. I checked the pressure switch found that it would not make and replaced it with a universal P.S. that I got from my Bryant retailer. Replaced pressure switch did nothing. Furnace still would not fire. I was curious so started doing some work. Checked vents- open, checked the P.S tubes running to the combustion chamber, inducer, and gas valve for cracks or damage they were fine. Inducer bryant plus 90 starts up with no problem Condensate clean of debris, Cleaned the burner manifold etc I jumped out the P.S and very quickly after the HSI began to glow and then the pilot lit rolled out shutting itself down again. I then restarted the furnace and jumped out both the limit switch and the rollout switch as well and the furnace did the same thing lit quickly with a bang and turned off. Now I think it could be one of two things here a bad exchanger or a bad inducer motor as the pressure switch is not making. I am not concerned with the gas rollout as I think the homeowner played with the gas pressure and I am going to re- adjust when I go back over their. So now my question is How to I check for a cracked exchanger or a bad Inducer motor. I have 120 volts to the inducer and the bearings are not stuck but my lack of experience with gas really is shooting me in the foot here.... 0 · Comments JStar Member Posts: 2,668 May 2013 FurnaceOh my!!! Put down your tools and turn that furnace off!! You are exercising EXTREMELY DANGEROUS practices by jumping out a limit. BillyHvac is online now I have a Bryant Plus 90 furnace, model number 350MAV036080, Resolved Question: I have a Bryant Plus 90 furnace, model number 350MAV036080, getting an error code 31 - pressure switch did not close or reopened. Prior to installing a new one, I verified the old one was not closing, but blowing on the burner enclosure hose did make it cycle but it seemed like an excessive amount of pressure to actuate it. I also checked the supply and exhaust lines outside the house, both were open and free flowing. After installing the new pressure switch, I have the same problem. What is the driving force for the pressure or vacuum? Any other areas to investigate?ThanksMark Submitted: 4 years ago. Category:HVAC Share this conversation Expert: BillyHvac replied4 years ago. Hello, first remove the rubber tube from the barbed fitting at furnace end...use a paperclip and poke the fitting clear. Then make sure the drain from the furnace condensate water is not blocked.Check those 2 items first and let me know. Ask Your Own HVAC Question Customer: replied4 years ago. I remove the hose from the furnace side where the other end goes to the collector box side of the pressure swich and stuck a paperclip though it and worked it around, replaced the hose and restarted the furnace. Switch still not closing. I removed the drain hose off the condensate collector box on the side of the fur
