In my code I am moving file from one location to another by usingwinAPI::moveFile(_source,_destination); When we are executing this code through Batch Process I am getting the error as "ClrObject static method invocation error", but if I am executing the same thing in normal way (with out using batch process) its working fine. But what would be the reason why it's not executing in Batch process. Please help me!!!!! Thanks in Advance, Regards, Deepak M. The particular invoice that the user is printing is set up to be emailed if the Use Print management option is selected. The https://www.axug.com/blogsmain/blogviewer?BlogKey=b9a30f54-6c9c-4f6b-97c4-270599d329c2 error message CLRObject static method invocation error appears during the process. I can see the temporary file is created under C:\Users\AOS_SVC_TEST\AppData\Local\Temp and that the error occurs when the deletion of the file is attempted. So is it a permission issue or a file lock issue? Thank you for your input. Jason 3 comments 423 views Tag Comments Richard Hellstenius 10-01-2014 11:20 Hi,If you are using this in batch, it might be that AX gives out this error message due to the fact that the temp catalogue for the AOS service user (C:\Users\AOSSERVICEACCOUNTNAME\AppData\Local\Temp\ is full of both folders/files, and are unable to draw a new name for the file. It is using a HEX logic for naming the temp files, and if the temp files are not deleted (which they are not done when run in batch), the AX/Windows are not able to retrieve a new name for the te
Ax2009, Axapta, DAX, X++ Hi All, If you have requirement to copy files from some folder[Target folder] to your specified folder[destination] then usually we use WinApi class CopyFile() method https://axaptagyan.wordpress.com/2010/04/30/error-clrobject-static-method-invocation-error-during-use-of-winapi-class-method-copyfile-in-axapta/ but this method will not work if you sub-folders in your Target https://dynamicsuser.net/ax/f/developers/50731/clrobject-static-method-invocation-error-ax-2009---object-server-02-rpc-error-rpc-exception-1702 folder then it will show error "ClrObject static method invocation error.". To resolve this error first we need to check whether the file you are going to copy is a folder or file that we can do by using WINAPI::folderExists().The correct way to do this as below: could not public void copy(FilePath _filePath) { int firstFileHandle; Filename filenameCurrent; FilePath parentDir = @'D:/tmp'; ; //winApi::setCurrentDirectory(_filePath); [firstFileHandle, filenameCurrent] = Winapi::findFirstFile(_filePath + ‘/' + ‘*.*'); while(filenameCurrent) { IF(filenameCurrent != ‘.' && filenameCurrent != ‘..') { if(WinApi::fileExists(_filePath + ‘/' + filenameCurrent, false)) winapi::copyFile(_filePath + ‘/' + filenameCurrent,@'D:/test/'+filenameCurrent,true); else if(WinAPi::folderExists(filenameCurrent)) { this.copy(parentDir + ‘/' + filenameCurrent); } } filenameCurrent = winapi::findNextFile(firstFileHandle); } } _filePath : could not be path where you want to copy files Note : This code will work only if you create this method in class it will not work in Jobs Like this:Like Loading... I've created a class for that and it's running on server every night. Generally it gives an error message like "clrobject static method invocation error". I've looked for the server eventlogs.I see that message "Object Server 02: RPC error: RPC exception 1702" Sometimes it's running without no problem. But generally it stops the batchjob. What I'm doing wrong? mratkya Cancel Reply mratkya 0 2012-4-4 2:03 PM Isn't there any idea? mratkya Martin Dráb 0 2012-4-4 2:22 PM In reply to mratkya: Just a guess - you call a client-bound method from the batch.
