Qmake: Could Not Exec No Such File Or Directory
I am using Debian OS and I'm trying to point to cmake where is my Qt4. I try to build qjson library and with its CMakeLists.txt: http://pastebin.com/fKNp0Qgy I get: Qt5 not found, searching for Qt4 qmake: could not exec '/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/qt4/bin/qmake': No such file or directory CMake Error at /usr/share/cmake-2.8/Modules/FindQt4.cmake:1386 (message): Found unsuitable Qt version "" from NOTFOUND, this code requires Qt 4.x Call Stack (most recent call first): CMakeLists.txt:55 (FIND_PACKAGE) could not find qt4 (missing: qt_qtwebkit_include_dir qt_qtwebkit_library) -- Configuring incomplete, errors occurred! I'm not familiar with CMake and Qt config, but I'm curious what setting force CMake FIND_PACKAGE to look into '/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/qt4/bin/qmake' for qmake. I have installed Qt 4.8.5 from source and I have Qt4 bin folder in completely different directory. linux qt cmake share|improve this question edited Jul 7 '14 at 2:40 Eric Leschinski 46.1k23219190 asked Mar 1 '14 at 11:10 bLAZ 4842620 add a comment| 7 Answers 7 active oldest votes up vote 13 down vote just try "sudo apt-get install qt-sdk" it works for me share|improve this answer answered Jul 31 '14 at 5:43 Jim_Di 13113 Not a solution on Ubuntu 14.04. –Luís de Sousa Jan 11 at 16:54 add a comment| up vote 6 down vote In my experience, this problem is most easily solved by putting the folder containing qmake in your PATH environment variable. share|improve this answer answered Mar 1 '14 at 11:29 Steve Fallows 4,55933151 1 When I add this folder to PATH it still wants this '/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/qt4/bin/qmake', not my '/home/daniel/Programy/qt-everywhere-opensource-src-4.8.5/bin/qmake' –bLAZ Mar 1 '14 at 11:37 Maybe it will be useful info that directory '/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/qt4/bin' exists in my system, but there is only 'qdbus' file. –bLAZ Mar 1 '14 at 11:47

How can i solve this problem? Reply Quote 0 mcosta last edited by Hi, this question isn't related directly to Qt but to CMake. However you shall ensure that Qt installation binari directory (where there is qmake executable) is in your PATH environment variable before launch CMake Once your problem is solved don't forget to: Mark the thread as SOLVED using the Topic Tool menu Vote up the answer(s) that helped you to solve the issue You can embed images using (http://imgur.com/) or (http://postimage.org/) Reply Quote 0 sierdzio Moderators last edited by Setting QTDIR might also help, although Qt Creator should take care of both PATH and QTDIR. Or, as a more general solution, set the CMAKE_PREFIX_PATH environment variable so that it includes the base install directory of Qt.
