Shutdown exception messages Started by dex3703 , Oct 10 2008 06:17 PM This topic is locked 3 replies to this topic #1 dex3703 dex3703 Members 3 posts OFFLINE Local time:06:12 PM Posted 10 October 2008 - 06:17 PM I get several exception alertboxes when I shut down my machine, and have been unable to figure out what's causing them. The event log only tells me that the vsjitdebugger.exe was called by an application, but couldn't start because the computer was being shut down. I may also get similar errors related to the Google Talk client. I have uninstalled and reinstalled this but get the same error.Uninstalling Windows Desktop Search 3.0 improved the situation quite a bit--I would get numerous End Program dialogs of programs that didn't get shut down properly, and uninstalling WDS 3.0 resolved all those. However I still get one or two alertboxes like the above.Have Trend antivirus and have run AdAware. Also ran stinger and found no problems. Hijack this log below. Thanks in advance for any help.Logfile of Trend Micro HijackThis v2.0.2Scan saved at 4:10:21 PM, on 10/10/2008Platform: Windows XP SP2 (WinNT 5.01.2600)MSIE: Internet Explorer v7.00 (7.00.6000.16705)Boot mode: NormalRunning processes:C:\WINDOWS\System32\smss.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\winlogon.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\services.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exeC:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\spoolsv.exeC:\WIND
