Could Not Load File Or Assembly C#
vote 112 down vote favorite 20 I'm having another of these "Could not load file or assembly or one of its dependencies" problems. Additional information: Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.Practices.Unity, Version=1.2.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131040) I have no idea what is causing this or how I could debug it to could not load file or assembly the system cannot find the file specified find the cause. I've done a search in my solution catalogs .csproj files, and every where I have Unity I have: Reference Include="Microsoft.Practices.Unity, Version=2.0.414.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35, processorArchitecture=MSIL" Can't find any reference anywhere which goes against 1.2.0.0 in any of my projects. Any ideas how I should go about solving this? I would also appreciate tips on how to debug problems like this in general. c# .net reference compiler-errors share|improve this question edited Aug 29 '12 at 9:54 abatishchev 56.9k56214353 asked Dec 17 '10 at 11:13 ronag 18.9k1375152 1 Could any of your referenced assemblies be using some stuff in old Unity library? –decyclone Dec 17 '10 at 11:19 2 Probably... but how can I find which assemblies? I have a lot of projects in my solution and a lot of potential suspects... trial and error bruteforce seems a bit hopeless... –ronag Dec 17 '10 at 11:21 You only have to look into the referenced assemblies in the project for which you get this error. –decyclone Dec 17 '10 at 11:26 3 It's not the assembly reference, you reference version 2.0. But at runtime, the CLR is finding 1.2, an old version. If you don't see that old DLL in your

Access is denied. Aug 21, 2009 09:08 AM|shiftynick|LINK There's plenty of information out there about this error. I haven't seen anything specific to IIS7. The error is random, but after it happens once, it continues for every subsequent request until the site is restarted. We have 3 servers in a farm, this happens could not load on all of them. We are on 2008 64bit. App pool is in Integrated mode and the app pool identity is Network Service. Some pages use impersonation on a different user. I have given both of these users full access to the Temporary ASP folders, there is no active virus scan, indexing is off... I've been working at this for a week and everyday I think its fixed, and every morning I get back in to this happening on a server or 2. Also this is only happening in our production environment, our other environments are not experiencing this. Error Page: Server Error in '/' Application.
