I am running an ~amd64 unstable system. I have dev-lang/python versions 2.7.11-r1, 3.4.3-r7, and 3.5.1-r2 installed. The PYTHON_TARGETS variable for this package is set to "python3_5" though this doesn't seem relevant because this particular package builds for all installed Python versions. The problem I am having is with 3.4. The emerge output: Code: checking for python3.4... /usr/bin/python3.4 checking for a version of Python >= '2.1.0'... yes checking for the distutils Python package... yes checking for Python include path... -I/usr/include/python3.4m checking for Python library path... -L/usr/lib64/python3.4 -lpython3.4 checking for Python site-packages path... /usr/lib64/python3.4/site-packages checking python extra libraries... -lpthread -ldl -lutil checking python extra linking flags... -Xlinker -export-dynamic checking consistency of all components of python development environment... no configure: error: Could not link test program to Python.
