Feb 18, 2012 Messages: 159 Likes Received: 15 Been having problems with this error message coming up every time I tried to use the Google Play store. Search high and low and everywhere could not be downloaded due to an error error while retrieving information from server in between to find an answer and so far, all I can determine is: It's a could not be downloaded due to an error 941 Play Store problem. I don't even know where to submit a problem issue with Google. None of the solutions I tried worked, including deleting could not be downloaded due to an error 492 my account from my phone and re-installing it. That seemed to be the most common solution that people claim was working for them. Finally, I got something to work: I turned off my wireless network and switched to the http://appslova.com/android-fix-app-could-not-be-downloaded-due-to-an-error-403/ packet data network and voila! I'm back in action. It suggests to me that the Play Store won't work under wireless for some reason. I'm going to attempt to use it again this evening on my own wireless instead of the work system we have here. Crazy, is what I am after attempting to find a solution to this problem. --Wag-- Advertisement Jun 1, 2012 #1 jefboyardee Well-Known Member Joined: Jan 18, 2011 Messages: 5,240 Likes Received: http://androidforums.com/threads/could-not-be-downloaded-due-to-an-error-403.558243/ 1,535 Open Play Store. That's the same error you get when you do things that you're not supposed to do to obtain paid applications. So if that's what you did there's your reason. If it's NOT what you did, and your apps are legitimately purchased, then the servers are having issues authenticating your account, and it may not be something that you yourself could fix; however clearing your cache for playstore, and the google services framework MAY help. Internet-Connection is up, factory-reset does not help. I use the same SIM as in my previous phone and (Browser-)Google seemingly doesn't know that I upgraded, yet. Although my new Phone is mentioned in the market (on the web), the "installed" and "install"-buttons still refer to my previous phone. Is that the same on your end? –Omphaloskopie Feb 11 '14 at 20:56 It's not the same, but the problem is definitely is. Maybe some temporary problem with Google Play for newly added phones. –xZero Feb 11 '14 at 21:21 @Omphaloskopie That's supposed to happen. –Jeffrey Lin Feb 11 '14 at 23:21 add a comment| 5 Answers 5 active oldest votes up vote 2 down vote accepted It seems there is a problem with Google play.
