I would check the document you are trying to serve for the char-type and other than that I would check with the server admin if you do not have access to the server-side code. share|improve this answer answered May 21 '12 at 19:20 Steve Binder 88276 header('Content-Type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1'); That's what I ahve. –Jake May 21 '12 at 19:36 add a comment| Your Answer draft saved draft discarded Sign up or log in Sign up using Google Sign up using Facebook Sign up using Email and Password Post as a guest Name Email Post as a guest Name Email discard By posting your answer, you agree to the privacy policy and terms of service. Points to: angular.min.js, line 78 chacter 453. There's also a problem with relative JS/CSS files that start with same value as having "http: ///" prefixed. The more I experiment with the issue, the more http://stackoverflow.com/questions/26245996/ie9-angularjs-causes-script58734-could-not-complete-the-operation-due-to-erro it seems like an AngularJS UI Router issue. Error occurs after calling $state.go('some_view'). UPDATE #1: Doing more digging around, the error seems to point at an encoding issue. Debugging the code, the error is triggered soon after the router attempts to load in a template. In IE9, the response header for the Content Type of the template is text/html;chartset=utf8. Some posts have pointed that it needs to be utf=8 with a dash. Have not been able to change the encoding yet. UPDATE #2: Changed the default charset for nginx from utf8 to utf-8 and it fixed the problem. angularjs internet-explorer-9 share|improve this question edited Oct 7 '14 at 23:59 asked Oct 7 '14 at 21:58 Artem K. 220112 possible duplicate of Could not complete the operation due to error c00ce56e IN ALL IE VERSION –XGreen Oct 7 '14 at 22:21 IE10/11 are fine. –Artem K. There is a page which has an Ajax call. The call is initiated from an external .js file. The Ajax call works fine in windows xp.When I tried tobrowse the application in Embedded XP (XPe IE 7) I got the error "Could not complete the operation due to the error c00ce56e" when the Ajax could not complete call fires. When I search for the solution over Internet, many posts are there saying, this error is due to the encoding format. This application uses UTF-8 encoding format. Even when I changed this format to 'iso-8859-1', the error didn't resolved. Can anyone help me to resolve this ? Murali. Reply hareshambali... IE7 is very strict on naming of the charsets. "ISO8859_1" is the canonical representation of the Latin-1 character encoding string in the Java language and class libraries. The standard that is defined by the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority, however, is "ISO-8859-1", which is not an accepted alias.
