If you use verbatim string literal, your string will be exactly as what you write. In this case, it will be exactly E:\\Debug\\VipBat\\ which is not a valid path. –Soner Gönül Feb 15 '14 at 11:14 Shouldn't you fill {0} present in E:\\Debug\\VipBat\\{0}? Ano

The problem is when I install it on another machine I get the error shown in the picture below. I am almost new to VS but it seems the installer does http://stackoverflow.com/questions/38817933/could-not-find-a-part-of-the-path-error-in-new-machine not contain the directory and doesn't copy that to new machine. I have some pictures in my directory folder but they can't be found on the other PC and just in the point the application should load the pictures, this error pops up: c# error-handling installer share|improve this question edited Aug 7 at 19:53 FrankerZ 4,81631445 asked Aug 7 at 19:51 Dcember 1 Sure you have access rights? –TaW Aug 7 at 20:07 It looks like you are distributing your application with ClickOnce. If the pictures are not found, check their Properties in the Solution Explorer; specifically the Build action you have selected for them. Perhaps add that info to your question. –stakx Aug 7 at 20:33 add a comment| active oldest votes Know someone who can answer? Share a link to this question via email, Google+, Twitter, or Facebook. How to solve "Can not find part of path" error. 100+ P: 110 Fuzz13 I'm writing a program that reads a file into an array creating a new object of the array each time it hits a carriage return could not or a comma. It then creates either a file or folder based off of those objects (the user determines what output they want). If I load in a file and choose to create folders it works perfectly. However if I select the same file and tell it to create files rather then folders could not find I get this error: "Could not find a part of the path 'C:\Users\Dahlia\Desktop\Tester\test 15\first line is safe.txt" This error occurs for any file I choose if I tell it to create files rather then folders. I'm using VS C# Express 2010 if that makes a difference. I don't know how to make it stop giving that error because i don't understand the error. Thanks in advance. However, StreamReader require a physical path like "C:\inetpub\webapplication1\sample.txt". To convert a virtual path to physical path, we can use MapPath method: MyFile =Server.MapPath(Request.ApplicationPath + "//sample1.txt"); Hope this help, Luke Microsoft Online Support Get Secure!
