I've gone to VSTS and got the http://stackoverflow.com/questions/863379/could-not-get-dependencies-for-project-reference solution containing the website project and a number of class library projects. The class library projects build ok, but the website gives a number of errors along the lines of Could not get dependencies for project reference 'XXX.YYY.CRM.DataAccess' http://localhost:1400/CRMWebService/ whereXXX.YYY.CRM.DataAccess is the assembly name for a Class library in the solution. The solution builds successfully for others. I know the questions is rather vague, but does anyone have suggestions of https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/427eeadd-b774-4f60-a740-9d932290ba54/could-not-get-dependencies-for-project-reference-?forum=csharpide where I should investigate? VS2008/C#. Friday, December 10, 2010 1:49 PM Answers 1 Sign in to vote v2 and v3.x both use the same CLR version (v2) so this won't cause any problems. Howevera missing strongly named assembly in the GAC can definitely cause issues. When you add a strongly named assembly to a project then the project is (by default) code to that specific version. If you try to compile without that version available then you'll get a compilation error. I'm assuming here that CRMDataAccess relies on a strongly named assembly that wasn't in the GAC. In that case you'd get the error you were seeing.
