Could Not Initialize Clr Unknown Error
Guest I recently moved my files and programs from my old laptop to my new one. Since then, when I open my Outlook program, I receive the following message. "Managed MAPI Service" "Catastrophic Failure" "Could not Initialize CLR - Unknown Error" What is this and how do I fix it? Mapi Catastrophic Failure Microsoft 2003 Started by suncowboy , Apr 16 2008 12:45 PM Please log in to reply 7 replies to this topic #1 suncowboy suncowboy Members 6 posts OFFLINE Local time:04:23 PM Posted 16 April 2008 - 12:45 PM Hello, http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/142179/mapi-catastrophic-failure-microsoft-2003/ Thank you for your help recently. I did what you said to no avail. It says "Could not initialize CLR Unknown Error in the box and the Top of the box says Managed MAPI service catastrophic failure", it pops up over and over again while I have Microsoft Outlook 2003 open. I also have not been able to open email the last few days which is bad for a one person run business. I just uninstalled Norton, seems like too many problems when I use it. Off topic what is the best freeware out there for virus and malware control? Back to the topic, What should I do to give you the information you need to determine if I have one or many problems? (bad pst file, virus, ect.) I use Windows XP Professional 2002 with SP2 installed, using Microsoft Business 2003 for software. This problem has been happening for about one month. Two months ago, the saving of my pst file and then copying from notebook to desktop and reversed completely failed. Now this stuff is happening. Please help as soon as possible and tell me what reports I need to give to you.
