The object could not be could not found By mamies · 8 years ago A few of our admin staff where greeted with a nasty little error on their outlook 2007 today. When someone tried to open emails or create new ones this error would generate. How i worked around it was i deleted the FORMS folder. It is located at C:\Documents and Settings\(username)\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\FORMS and contains the file FRMCACHE.DAT.This was on an XP machine so vista will be a little differant and i also had to unhide could not install the system files to find it. Once it was deleted i restarted Outlook and it works again. I have deleted the Forms folder and verified through search that FRMACACHE.DAT file does not exists but problem still occurs. Even uninstalled Office and reinstalled and still have the problem. Are there any other issues that may cause this condition? 0Votes Share Flag Collapse - Same issue here by jroberts · 8 years ago In reply to Still could not install t ... I have also done this repeatedly, and to no avail, the error keeps returning. I did the uninstall and reinstalled. I also checked through the registry and found a registry key pointing to a form template that no longer existed. I removed this registry and I was hoping that would do it, but sure enough, two or three days later the error returned. The user did inform me that at one point the error returned after he restarted his machine to finish installing updates. This is very frustrating.... 0Votes Share Flag Collapse - Same issue by rich.leclair · 7 years ago In
2007. Guest Guest I finally found a solution to this problem!! "Could not install the custom actions. The object could not be found." It is a corrupt form file. Once deleted everything work normally Here is how to do it. Close Outlook Go to Control Panel, Open folder options, select view tab, down the you will see a hidden files and folder, Select show hidden files and folders. Close the control panel. Open my computer and search down the directories. Local Disk (C>Users>(your user name)>AppData>Local>Microsoft>FORMS Delete the folder named FORMS, its corrupt! Close the window and open Outlook 2007, everything should work fine now. You may want to go back to folder options and select to hide files and folders. That took too much work! Guest, Feb 9, 2007 #1 Advertisements Roady [MVP] Guest Makes me wonder how you installed the custom Form in the first place. -- Robert Sparnaaij [MVP-Outlook] Coauthor, Configuring Microsoft Outlook 2003 http://www.howto-outlook.com/ Outlook FAQ, HowTo, Downloads, Add-Ins and more ----- "RaptorHawk" <> wrote in message news:... >I finally found a solution to this problem!! > "Could not install the custom actions. Sol Hi Roady That's what got me. I never did a custom form. I run Outlook as it comes from Microsoft. I did a clean install of Vista and Office 2007 and did an easy transfer from my old setup (XP, Office 2003). The was there from the start; Could not install the custom actions.
