Re: Could Not Launch Acrobat Bill@VT Aug 12, 2010 4:11 AM (in response to pakhyun) Try right clicking on the PDF and downloading it. Then open it in Acrobat. The problem may be associated with a missing plug-in as mentioned in your browser (what one?). You left a lot of information out with respect to versions, products, OSs and such. That information would help others that may have an answer. It might be that a simple repair of Acrobat will solve the problem. 1 person found this helpful Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions 2. 2 daybrite Posts: 3Joined: December 13th, 2007, 8:43 am Posted December 13th, 2007, 8:54 am I'm running Firefox 2.0.0.6 with Acrobat Reader 8.1.1 on Windows XP SP2. When I click on a PDF on a web page I get the error "Could not launch Acrobat.". The file "nppdf32.dll" is in the Firefox plugins folder and is the correct one. There is only one version of Acrobat Reader installed on https://forums.adobe.com/thread/698806 the PC. Everything is a new install. I just built this PC. If I double-click a PDF file on my hard drive, Acrobat launches fine. Can anyone help? Is this a Firefox bug? If so, has it been fixed yet and in what version?
