However when I plugged in the Iphone to my new IMac I get this:Itunes could not sync calendars to the iPhone because an error occurred while merging data.I started getting that same message a few weeks ago on my PC, but just figured it was because of a soon to be replaced pc was...well soon to be replaced. It had worked perfectly for about a month, now it won't sync. I tried resetting the sync history, but it didn't work. Any other suggestions? I am sorry to see your having this issue today. Posted below are some troubleshooting steps that may assist with troubleshooting.1. As stated try Reset Sync History. On a Windows. Open iTunes. Go to Edit- Preferences-iPhone-Reset Sync History and ConfirmOn a Mac- go to Applications-iSync- Then open iSync Prefs. Then reset sync history and confirm. Now attempt to sync data again.2. Make sure any data thats on the iPhone that is not in one of the programs on the PC is there now. Normally I wouldn't double could not sync post, but not getting this resolved overnight and before leaving for an appointment in the morning (UK time) would be a serious inconvenience - I may even have to revert to a paper diary! On the Apple Forums i posted ... I'm fairly new to iPads, having only bought one 24 hours after the "3" became available in the UK. I run an i7 iMac under OSX.6.8 Build 10K549 and sync via iTunes v10.6.1 (7) and the iPad is running iOS 5.1.1 (9B206) To start, all went well apart from a glitch with my Address Book which failed to update on the iPad, a problem resolved by AppleCare's "second tier" techies who identified a corrupt Address Book Group hader. So, perhaps unwisely, as the iMac was more up to date, i decided to take a risk the and use iTunes > iPadDevicesname > Info > Advanced > Calendars option which, according to iTunes would: During the next sync only, iTunes will
