This is due to the move_uploaded_file() PHP function not properly resolving https://www.drupal.org/node/1421610 Stream Wrappers when applying these directives. Proposed resolution Build a php wrapper function which first tries to move the uploaded file using the standard Drupal Stream Wrappers (so as to support remote Stream Wrappers). If this fails, fallback to moving the file using drupal_realpath(), if it can be resolved. Edit: Issue is likely un-testable for now. User interface changes None. API changes Any projects that allow uploads outside of the core File module should use the new drupal_move_uploaded_file() php wrapper function instead of move_uploaded_file(). Original report by joosts I get an error message whenever I try to upload a privately created theme (spring-360) to drupal 7.0-rc2 When I go to admin/appearance/install and try to upload a theme archive, I get the following error-message: # Warning: move_uploaded_file(): Unable to access temporary://spring-360.tar.gz in file_save_upload() (line 1525 of /home/...../public_html/includes/file.inc). # File upload error. Could not move uploaded file I have already created a temporary directory with permissions 777 (so that appears not to be the problem).drupal 7-r I am running Drupal under a Linux host with PHP version 5.2.15 and MySQL version 5.1.53. Are these set to 755? –Sidney Gijzen Apr 13 '14 at 19:34 I did 755 then it didnt work, den i set it to 777 then also it was not working. –asalug Apr 17 '14 at 11:54 add a comment| 3 Answers 3 active oldest votes up vote 1 down vote Had a same problem. The best way to fix it is to: Update the folder permissions on /sites/default to 777 Remove /sites/default/files folder Go to /admin/config/media/file-system and click save so drupal re-creates the files folder. Update the folder permissions back to 755 on /sites/default. On my server when website creates a file or folder, the owner is set to nobody.nobody and since I already had a lot of files in my /sites/default/files folder all I had to do is update the ownership and permissions: chown -R nobody.nobody ./sites/default/files chmod -R 755 ./sites/default/files Good luck! share|improve this answer answered Apr 17 '14 at 18:25 Karl Schellenberg 111 Be careful with that last command. It actually sets folders and files to a 755 permissions. This means that the owner "nobody" can execute files. It is better to set files to 644 and folders
setup. You can fix this by setting correct tmp directory from drupal file system Administer > Site configuration > File system and setup correct tmp directory path there /tmp or d:\wamp\tmp etc. Note: This error comes when we use database from different server exported to different server as the path stored in database and that does not match the new server configuration Average: 5 Average: 5 (1 vote) Recent blog posts Object Oriented PHP no follow links in phpbb3 Drupal more Navigation Frequently Asked Questions User login Username: * Password: * Create new account Request new password Recent FAQs How to install drush for Drupal 8 How to delete local and remote git branch?
