We are trying to install a copy of our software using IS6.22 on a NT 4.0 SP6 Server where the installer is the administrator and is logged in as such. At install startup, we get an error stating: "An installation support file could not be installed. Access is denied." If you try to install the software again, a different error appears stating: "The InstallShield Engine (iKernal.exe) could not be installed. IKernel.exe could not be copied to 'E:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield\Engine\6\Intel 32'. Make sure that you have appropiate privileges to copy files to this folder. (0x20)". If you go out to this sub-directory, the iKernel.exe file exist in this subdirectory. What's the deal? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. 03-12-2001,01:00 AM #2 NewsArchive View Profile View Forum Posts Uber User (1000+ Posts) Join Date Oct 2001 Posts 44,727 Re: ERROR: An installation support file could not be installed -- Access is denied.
