I just have a "little" problem. The IIS service just won't start, i installed it 5 times already, even reinstalled Vb.net(2003) and nothing seems to work :( When i checked my services the IIS admin is started and running. The SMTP and FTP service don't work. They are in the list but when i want to start them, https://forums.iis.net/t/next/973565 it says: "could not start the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) service on Local Computer. Error 126: the specified module could not be found." I have the same error with the FTP service, when i want to restart IIS it just says: IIS didn't started. I installed everything from IIS, (frontpage, smtp, checked every box). my os: Windows XP pro (version 2002) SP2 hopefully someone will know what to do Reply qbernard 7037 Posts MVPModerator Re: IIS won't start Mar 14, 2006 01:43 AM|qbernard|LINK Looks like IIS wasn't installed properly.
