configure: error: Could not compile XMLRPC-C test xmlrpc-c (and xmlrpc-c-dev) was definitely installed, but to be sure I removed the packages, downloaded and compiled it from source and ran sudo make install. I then confirmed it was there and working by running xmlrpc-c-config --version. It didnt look like xmlrpc-c was the culprit! Digging into the config.log showed the following: checking for XMLRPC-C...

undefined reference to __sync_add_and_fetch_8' /usr/lib/libtorrent.so: undefined reference So actually the issue had nothing to do with xmlrpc-c. Rather, it was being caused by an undefined reference to `__sync_add_and_fetch_8' which just happened to be causing compilation to fail when the make configure scripts were compiling the test code to check that xmlrpc-c was really there. This undefined reference issue has already been discussed in bug #156. Basically some instructions aren't supported on non-standard architectures, like my armhf machine. There are 3 po
