If you have a similar problem and that solution didn't work for you, I recommend posting a new question. –Eliah Kagan Dec 29 '12 at 21:55 add a comment| 2 Answers 2 active oldest votes up vote 2 down vote accepted As far as I can tell, glib-compile-schemas is not available in any package for 10.04 LTS (Lucid). What I did to get around this, is to compile and install the latest glib manually, using: ./configure && make && make install. I also needed to add /usr/local/lib to my LD_LIBRARY_PATH. share|improve this answer answered Dec 31 '12 at 19:21 destenson 443 add a comment| up vote 12 down vote You need the header files. In Ubuntu and other Debian-based operating systems, header files are provided by -dev packages. So install libglib2.0-dev , by clicking that link or by running: sudo apt-get update && sudo

Title says it all, i'm getting errors during configure due to missing schemas. Apparently running Code: /usr/bin/glib-compile-schemas /usr/share/glib-2.0/schemas Should populate the folder. However that folder didn't exist so i created it, and the command doesn't exist on my machine. Is this a standard file on slackware, if not where can i find it? note i have a slackware64-13.1 full install with gsb 2.30 brooko View Public Profile View LQ Blog View Review Entries Vi
