Ideviceinstaller Could Not Connect To Lockdownd
12, 2015 Spend several hours trying to figure this out but with no luck. I reinstalled (libimobiledevice - 1.2.0) from the source (including libplist-1.12, ifuse-1.1.3 and libusbmuxd-1.1.0). I have no parental restrictions on the device and no screen lock. The device will not mount through linux and ifuse returns the same errors. I could not connect to lockdownd. exiting. am using CAINE linux (ubuntu 14.04) which might be the problem, i don't know. I double checked the lockdown file to ensure the permissions are correct (as you can see below.) I'm pretty much at a dead end. I am facing this error on ios 9. I tried to reboot https://github.com/libimobiledevice/libimobiledevice/issues/243 the device but didn't help. As per the source -5 code is LOCKDOWN_E_SSL_ERROR. I even tried to change time of device to my mac (OS X) time but still facing the issue. I am using libimobiledevice-1.2.0 mexmer commented Jan 10, 2016 this error comes from wrong pairing information. you need to redo pairing with your phone first. divyum commented Jan 11, 2016 Thanks. The main errors that pop up seem to be "Error detecting device (lockdown error -5)" and "Could not connect to lockdown"… We've been could not connect in contact with @pod2g and @pimskeks, and they confirmed the problem is a random coincidence that creates a timeout. But the fix is fairly easy. All you have to do is go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Content and Settings. Then make sure you download Absinthe 2.0.1 and run it again. This should fix your problem. If not, or if you're encountering a different error, please make sure to share with us. use below commands. Note we are running test in CI so it constantly runs. ideviceinfo | grep UniqueDeviceIDidevicepair validate And when it appium tries to run I get below errorCould not connect to lockdownd. Exiting. An unknown server-side error occurred while processing the command. Original error: Bad app: /Users/xxx/build/xxx.ipa. App paths need to be absolute, or relative to the appium server install dir, or a URL to compressed file, or a special app name. Although it has worked before, so i doubt it might be code bug, But if someone could give insight that will be helpful. ThanksS Sjgamer 2016-06-27 16:33:28 UTC #2 anyone who can help? MichaelGallacher 2016-07-21 20:31:45 UTC #3 What version of Mac OS are you running? This issue began for me when I updated to El Capitan 10.11.6 yesterday. Running ideviceinstaller as sudo works, so I'd bet it is due to a security fix in a dependency of ideviceinstaller. Try running these as sudo and confirm. thx.
