Thanks. I tried to configure the flag on the VM instance, but for sure i did it wrong. Using system variable is by far better and just one time. Thank you. –erm3nda Apr 24 '15 at 7:49 It worked already. Should use this way. –Tran Duc Huy Sep 13 at 6:15 add a comment| up vote 6 down vote If you go thru this IBM link on java, it says that on 32 bit windows the recommended heap size is 1.5 GB and the Maximum heap size is 1.8 GB. So your jvm does not gets initialized for -Xmx2G and above. Also if you go thru this SO answer, clearly the DLL bindings are an issue for memory reservation changing which is no trivial task. Hence what may be recommended is that you go for 64-bit Windows and a 64-bit JV

I've re-installed java, re-installed the programs, about whatever you can think of. I know the whole reason to why it's doing this, is because I was running a tekkit server which has about 41 mods on it, including Bukkit, which is huge, and tekkit at the same time with about 2 other people on it. Which crashed the Java Virtual machine. I know this sounds pretty stupid but, My computer can barely handle that much stuff alone, so I knew that this was a bad idea, But I still went on with it, and of course, This happens. I've literally looked EVERYWHERE for an answer and I have found NOTHING. I get this error when R

" Picked up _JAVA_OPTIONS: -Xmx2048M Error occurred during initialization of VM Could not reserve enough space for object heap Error: Could not create the Java Virtual Machine. Error: A fatal exception has occurred. Program will exit. " ...error. I've searched for solutions and fixes on many places, there were many same or almost same answers, but none of them worked. So I post my problem here, to hopefully find a solution at last. What I've tried so far: - tried a bunch of command line parameters, like -Xincgc, -Xms2048M, -Xmx2048M, etc. (about 10 - 20 of them - from guides), but none of them worked - tried to set environment variables (java options and path), as you can see from my errors - tried 64bit Java JRE and JDK - tried different versions of CraftBukkit and Spigot - tried to set the page file to different values My hardware spec.: 8 core CPU 32GB RAM 240GB SSD I'm using the latest 64bit Java, 64bit Win7 SP1. No values are working other than 1024M. So, if you have any serious, usable solution, please help me!
