Error Err 7620 Could Not Determine Workspace For Application 4050
1-page (plus login page) application in APEX 4.1.0.00.32 on Oracle 11.2. It uses theme 17 and I also tried theme 22 which gives the same error message when I try to import its file that I have just exported. There's a report region with a vanilla query. In the Import GUI, I choose the import file, click next and then it shows me a "Web page cannot be error err-7620 could not determine workspace for application (4500). displayed" page with "http://mydomain:7777/pls/apex/www_flow.accept" in the URL. When if I refresh the page, I see:Error ERR-7621 Could not determine workspace for application (:) on application accept.Expecting P-company or www_flow_company cookie to contain security group id of application owner.I'm sure this is the first import I've tried since we upgraded from 11.1. I am able to import the same file into apex.oracle.com.{Additional info: The server / server name changed which is more likely the cause than the Oracle upgrade.}It was suggested here {message:id=10308292} that using theme 9 can be a problem. ???Our folks here say that running the SQL export file is a workaround. I'll have to try that.Howard 656Views Tags: none (add) 7621Content tagged with 7621, cookieContent tagged with cookie, errContent tagged with err, errorContent tagged with error, groupContent tagged with group, idContent tagged with id, importContent tagged with import, securityContent tagged with security, worspaceContent tagged with worspace, www_flow_companyContent tagged with www_flow_company This content has been marked as final. contain security group id of application owner. Error ERR-7620 Could not determine workspace for application (). The application had been working fine and it puzzled me why the link wasn't working. A direct link to the application there is a problem with your environment because the application express files have not been loaded worked but when using an alias in the URL it failed. If I

changed the alias the error went away ... but I didn't want to change the alias because it meant I would

have to find all the links that used it. Which sort of defeats the point of using an alias in the first place! The solution was to find out if any other applications https://community.oracle.com/thread/2549180 were using the same alias. So I ran the following query against the main APEX tables in my FLOWS schema : SELECT * FROM (SELECT COUNT(ALIAS) "COUNT",ALIAS FROM APEX_APPLICATIONS GROUP BY ALIAS) WHERE COUNT>1 ORDER BY COUNT DESC; This highlighted another application in a different workspace that was using the same application alias. An Oracle developer had cloned my application for development purposes and it ended up with http://www.mattsbits.co.uk/item-143.html the same alias as the live application. Once I changed the alias in the copy my application links started working again! have now updated my dynamic action sample application, the links in this post no longer work. Please see this blog post for details. As many of you may know, APEX 4.0 Early http://anthonyrayner.blogspot.com/2010/01/apex-40-learn-more-about-dynamic.html Adopter's was released before Christmas. In this release, we introduce a new feature called 'Dynamic Actions' that provides a declarative way of defining client-side behaviour, without needing to know JavaScript. There is a simple wizard http://www.cornbio.com/oracle-err-7621-could-not-determine-workspace-for-application-on-application-a/ to create new dynamic actions, whereby you just specify 'When' the dynamic action will fire, the 'Action' itself and 'What' will be affected. As I said, you don't have to know JavaScript to do a fair could not amount with this feature, but there are also some hooks for JavaScript developers to extend the dynamic action framework to do a whole load more!! To help you understand this feature, I have put together a sample application containing lots of different uses of dynamic actions such as drag and drop, styling page items and interactive reports, retrieving data from the server via AJAX, responding to plug-in item events such as could not determine the 'Slider' sliding and more. You can either view the application running on the EA instance here or download it from here, so you can install it in your own EA workspace and have a deeper look. If you haven't yet signed up for the APEX 4.0 Early Adopters, take a look at David Peake's related blog post where he explains how to get started. Note: If you are installing this application, there is one supporting object defined containing a simple PL/SQL function 'getCommission' used by a couple of the examples. During the install, please install this supporting object to get the full functionality. Also, the application requires that you have a copy of the standard 'EMP' table in the parsing schema for the application. The application makes use of a number of native dynamic actions (that will be built-in to APEX), but also contains 5 dynamic action plug-in examples which you can look at, install and play around with. The plug-ins are: Draggable - Define page elements as draggable, with various options such as restricting by vertical or horizontal axis, transparency during drag, containment and more. Droppable - Define page elements as droppable, with various options such as restricting which draggables can be dropped, styling to guide the user
