however, quite easy. Apache wants you to define a ServerName. So let's add it by first opening terminal and editing the httpd.conf file: sudo nano /etc/apache2/apache2.confGo to the very bottom of that file and add this starting httpd: httpd: apr_sockaddr_info_get() failed for line:ServerName localhostThe error code AH00558 should now be gone. Try restarting the Apache daemon to see if the error message is indeed no longer displayed:sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 restartThe output will look like this:[emailprotected]:~# sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 restart * Restarting web server apache2 [ OK ]Fix Apache Error: Could not reliably determine the server's fully qualified domain name was last modified: July 27th, 2015 by Thomas

Or, you could be using the deprecated SHA-1 algorithm for your certificate. Read here why you shouldn't be using SHA-1 any longer.Reply to Thomas sdfds says: July 29, 2016 at 11:29 TRY YOUR BESTReply to sdfds Leave a Reply Cancel replyYour email address will not be published. An FQDN must include a hostname part, as well as a domain name part. For example, the following is a valid FQDN: host.server4-245.com Choose an FQDN and include it both in your /etc/hosts file on both the IPv4 and IPv6 addresses you are using (in your case, localhost or 127.0.0.1), and change your ServerName in your httpd configuration to match. /etc/hosts: 127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost host.server4-245.com ::1 localhost.localdomain localhost host.server4-245.com httpd.conf: ServerName host.server4-245.com share|improve this answer edited May 9 '14 at 0:29 answered Mar 2 '12 at 23:50 Paul Stengel 75265 5 Note too that you'll want to modify your HOSTNAME entry in your /etc/sysconfig/network file to match your chosen name. –Paul Stengel Mar 2 '12 at 23:55 2 Hmm. I've got: 127.0.0.1 localhost gondor gondor.localdomain 192.168.0.3 gondor.localdomain but it seems linux doesn't think that gondor.localdomain is an FQDN either. What's the issue with that? Do I ha
