Program will exit” up vote 18 down vote favorite 1 I'm trying to run SQuirreL SQL. I've downloaded it and installed it, but when I try to run it I get this error message: Java Virtual Machine Launcher. Could not find the main class. Program will exit. I get the gist of this, but I have not http://stackoverflow.com/questions/120662/could-not-find-the-main-class-program-will-exit idea how to fix it. Any help? more info: I'm on Windows XP pro. I have java 1.6 installed, and other apps are running OK. The install ran OK. I believe I've followed the installation instructions correctly. To run it, I'm invoking the squirrel-sql.bat file. I get the following error when I run a build.xml… Java Virtual Machine Launcher: Could not find the main class. Program will exit. Does anyone have an idea of how to get around this most annoying problem? Thanks. June 29, 2009 at 5:14 pm #299945 Reply Ton HuismanMember Most likely your system is out of resources. Please disclose specs (systemhardware) and settings (MY memory parameters) so we can compare. I've only been able to ‘recover' from this message by closing all instances of MyEclipse, and restarting them one by one. Most I could open on a 3 GB machine was 3, and 4 on a Vista x64 with 4 GB of ram (and VMWare & most other apps turned off) running 32 bit instances of ME with the default memory parameters. Can you go to MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details and paste the details here for us.
