I have "main" Python 2.6 (one that came automatically with CentOS) and another one I installed after (2.7). How do I use pip-2.7? –Amar Kalabić Sep 12 '14 at 20:52 add a comment| 2 Answers 2 active oldest votes up vote 0 down vote Perhaps you're using an old version of easy_install, that may be the root of problem. You can follow instructions from distribute doc package, and than install pip. Since you have installed pip you can install MySQL-pythoneasily. share|improve this answer answered Sep 12 '14 at 21:07 Mauro Baraldi 2,35511121 I did that, but when I try to install it using pip, it installs it for python 2.6, not 2.7, which I want to... –Amar Kalabić Sep 12 '14 at 21:14 add a comment| up vote 0 down vote Maybe try use some sentenc

Similar to a lot of other questions on here, but the solutions provided do not solve the error after I install them. My settings.py could not find file inside my project directory DATABASES = { 'default': { 'ENGINE': 'django.db.backends.mysql', 'NAME': 'network', 'USER': 'root', 'PASSWORD': 'mypass', 'HOST': '', #EMPTY FOR LOCALHOST 'PORT': '3307', #Empty by default } } I am using Windows 7, Python 3.4 (I heard was not compatible with install MySQL-python so instead I downloaded mysqlclient 1.3.6). The tutorial I've been looking at strays from me here, and I have no idea what to do with a WHL of mysqlclient. Things I've tried already: easy_install Distribute works but does not change any
