I made 4 data DVD's yesterday using Maxell DVD+R and all was fine. Need one more to complete my backups and I've already wasted 7 DVD's trying to burn my data. I keep getting "Could not perform end of Disc-at-once" http://forum.nero.com/nero_eng/topics/burn_fail as the reason for the failure. I've turned off multi session and also slowed down to 8x but still no joy. Any ideas? Thanks lola2001, Apr 15, 2008 #1 Sponsor Elvandil Joined: Aug 1, 2003 Messages: 51,988 Are you close to capacity? Maybe not enough room. I don't remember if 6 had the option, but use a short lead-in or enable overburn if your drive supports it. https://forums.techguy.org/threads/solved-could-not-perform-end-of-disc-at-once.703879/ Elvandil, Apr 15, 2008 #2 lola2001 Thread Starter Joined: Jan 29, 2001 Messages: 1,965 No it wasn't even close to capacity at all. I've tried enabling overburn anyway and it made no difference. lola2001, Apr 15, 2008 #3 Elvandil Joined: Aug 1, 2003 Messages: 51,988 Maybe you need to use a different brand of media. Elvandil, Apr 15, 2008 #4 lola2001 Thread Starter Joined: Jan 29, 2001 Messages: 1,965 I tried that as well with Memorex and still the same thing. I just uninstalled Nero and installed Cyberlink, the burning software that came with the LG burner and it did the same thing so I'm thinking it's my burner. lola2001, Apr 15, 2008 #5 Elvandil Joined: Aug 1, 2003 Messages: 51,988 That's possible. There may be a firmware update for it. It's worth a try to reprogram it, just to see what happens. Updates usually add functionality, too. Elvandil, Apr 15, 2008 #6 lola2001 Thread Starter Joined: Jan 29, 2001 Messages: 1,965 I'll check into it and let you know. Thanks. lola2001, Apr 15, 2008 #7 lola2001 Thread Starter Joined: Jan 29, 2001 Messages: 1,965 I updated the firmware and it seems to work fine now. Thank you for your
Of Disc-At-Once" [ASolution] "Unable To Perform End Of Disc-At-Once" [ASolution] Monday July 23, 2007 TheSkepticalAtheist Leave a comment Go to comments In using Nero Burning ROM https://godkillzyou.wordpress.com/2007/07/23/unable-to-perform-end-of-disc-at-once/ 7.0, I'd recently come across some difficulty in burning DVD+Rs. At different stages of the burning process, it would suddenly stop, eject the DVD+R and a message would http://www.computing.net/answers/windows-xp/cant-burn-nero-discatonce-anymore/183824.html come up saying "Unable To Perform End Of Disc-At-Once." I was stumped. It took a lot of experimentation, and a lot of ruined DVDs to finally come could not up with the solution. Here it is, along with an explanation… Apparently, Nero has a setting under the File/Options… Expert Features tab called "Enable DVD Overburning." When I set this value to its maximum value (4600 MB), I had no more issues with the "Unable To Perform End Of Disc-At-Once" error messages. From what could not perform I've been reading, apparently some DVD-R drives have trouble just recording the standard 4.7 Gb on a DVD-R. So, even though 4600 MB on a DVD-R isn't technically "overburning," just having Nero label the action as overburning alleviates the problem. Hope this helps!
