I made 4 data DVD's yesterday using Maxell DVD+R and all was fine. Need one more to complete my backups and I've already wasted 7 DVD's trying to burn my http://forum.nero.com/nero_eng/topics/burn_fail data. I keep getting "Could not perform end of Disc-at-once" as the reason for the failure. I've turned off multi session and also slowed down to 8x but still no joy. Any ideas? Thanks lola2001, Apr 15, 2008 #1 Sponsor Elvandil Joined: Aug 1, 2003 Messages: 51,988 Are you close to capacity? Maybe not enough room. I don't remember if 6 had https://forums.techguy.org/threads/solved-could-not-perform-end-of-disc-at-once.703879/ the option, but use a short lead-in or enable overburn if your drive supports it. Elvandil, Apr 15, 2008 #2 lola2001 Thread Starter Joined: Jan 29, 2001 Messages: 1,965 No it wasn't even close to capacity at all. I've tried enabling overburn anyway and it made no difference. lola2001, Apr 15, 2008 #3 Elvandil Joined: Aug 1, 2003 Messages: 51,988 Maybe you need to use a different brand of media. Elvandil, Apr 15, 2008 #4 lola2001 Thread Starter Joined: Jan 29, 2001 Messages: 1,965 I tried that as well with Memorex and still the same thing. I just uninstalled Nero and installed Cyberlink, the burning software that came with the LG burner and it did the same thing so I'm thinking it's my burner. lola2001, Apr 15, 2008 #5 Elvandil Joined: Aug 1, 2003 Messages: 51,988 That's possible. There may be a firmware update for it. It's worth a try to reprogram it, just to see what happens. Updates usually add functionality, too. Elvandil, Apr 15, 2008 #6 lola2001 Thread Starter Joined: Jan 29, 2001 Messages: 1,965 I'll check into it and let you know. Thanks.

For the past few weeks my Nero is giving problem. I had Nero 9 when the problem started; whenever I started writing dvd, Nero will burn upto say 3% or 7% and then show error message. could not So I uninstalled it, used Nero cleaning tool, installed Nero 8 but the problem remained. It began showing message like " Session fixation error G:HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA T40N" . Then I changed to Nero 6; but still the same problem. I use various DVD makes available in India like Moserbaer, Writex....earlier also I used to write could not perform them having no problem. Another thing I have noted is that even after uninstalling, Nero DriveSpeed, Nero InfoTool, Nero DiscSpeed, Nero ControlCenter stays in Control Panel> Add and Remove Programs dialog box, without mentioning there sizes. Can't remove them. I am attaching the Nero 6 error log........Can anyone help me?Windows XP 5.1IA32WinAspi: -ahead WinASPI: File 'D:\Program Files\Nero\Nero\Wnaspi32.dll': Ver=2.0.1.74, size=164112 bytes, created 10/26/2004 5:35:34 PM Nero Version: 6.6.0.8 (Nero Express)Recorder:

Use high quality top-brand media (eg Sony, TDK) not bulk-buy "cheapies".2. Check your drive-manufacturer's website for a firmware update.3. Use "TAO" mode (track at once) instead of DAO if possible. DAO is really only necessary when you want to make a copy of an audio CD without the silent gap between each track. For data that's not an issue.4. I'm not aware of any issues with nero 6 and SP2 (I say that because SP2 did indeed 'break' a number of third-party applications for which patches had to be released) but it wouldn't hurt to ensure you have the latest update of nero 6. The last (and final) update prior to the arrival nero 7 was v6.6.1.4 for the core "nero burning rom" component , here:http://www.nero.com/...enu/nero-up.php5. Alternative is to UPGRADE to nero 7 if you find the trial version eliminates the probem you're currently having. nero 7 trial here:http://www.nero.com/...enu/nero-up.phpIt's a large download (150Mb - approx 20 mins. over a 1Gbit b/band connection). Finally, disabling overburn won't make any difference unless you actually make use of that feature -- it simply alters the data measurement scale on the interface, and tells nero when to trigger the "not enough space left on disc" warning when you create a compilation of files
