I've got a whole bunch could not of Win7 PCs that have the same image on them. This was done before I got here (new job) and I am told that they forgot to run sysprep. Not long after these PCs were deployed, they started dropping off the domain. The support team would dispatch someone to run over and run sysprep, then the PC would run just fine for about 5 days, then could not authenticate it may or may not drop off again. I finally started looking at the issue last Friday and found this error in the PC logs: "Log Name: System Source: NETLOGON Date: 10/21/2011 9:27:01 AM Event ID: 3210 Task Category: None Level: Error Keywords: Classic User: N/A Computer: computername.domain.edu Description: This computer could not authenticate with \\SERVER.domain.edu, a Windows domain controller for domain DOMAIN, and therefore this computer might deny logon requests. This inability to authenticate might be caused by another computer on the same network using the same name or the password for this computer account is not recognized. If this message appears again, contact your system administrator." And this error on the DC: "Log Name: System Source: NETLOGON Date: 10/21/2011 9:27:01 AM Event ID: 5722 Task Category: None Level: Error Keywords: Classic User: N/A Computer: server.domain.edu Description: The session setup from the computer computername failed to authenticate. The name(s) of the account(s) referenced in the security database is computername$. The following error occurred: Access is denied." We have three DCs: two running Server 2008 Ent. and one running Server 2008 R2 Ent. So it seems to
