I placed this application in my stagin environment some time ago. Today I was attempting to load new changes and I keep getting a parser error related to the master page file. My master page does not do anything could not load other than import a stylesheet and place an image in the header. This is done in the markup, not code-behind. Nothing fancy at all but I keep getting this Parser Error while I am able to run the application successfully on my local machine. I read something about VirtualPath but I have not been able to get that to work. I get a circular reference error when I try and add a new page directive for virtual path. Please help. -Brian Reply kundan_ugale Member 10 Points 8 Posts Re: Parser Error: could not load type masterpage Jun 09, 2009 11:03 AM|kundan_ugale|LINK You might bemissing the referance to Master Page in the page directive You can add Virtual path like this in the page directive <%@ MasterType VirtualPath="~/FolderName/MasterPage.master" %>
