It happened once... then went away. The very next day... I got the same error while trying to
Photoshop Could Not Complete Your Request Because It Is Not The Right Kind Of Document
open any (and I mean) any file in Photoshop... I'm talking new files or old files, JPEG's, PNG's, TIFF's, etc. I deleted preferences, settings, all of that. Tried booting up without plugs installed, etc. All of the things one would https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oUNKXez0riE typically go through to fix the problem. I even went so far as to remove every single Adobe application from my box (and all of their related support files) and reinstall everything. Exact same error. Then... intermittently... I could open or save files again... just to have it go back to the same problem as before. This was really bugging me. I then decided to try and run Photoshop that was sitting on another workstation via the network... exact same https://forums.creativecow.net/thread/244/855100 error. But even stranger than this is... that Photoshop that was running PERFECTLY previous to all of this... no longer works either!! It now shows up with the same error. Really, really bizarre. Anyone else have this issue?Return to posts indexReport Post •Re: "Could not complete your request because of a program error."by IsabelleVt on Aug 28, 2005 at 5:04:11 pmI started getting the same message yesterday when I tried to save some .psd files I had been working on. Couldn't find a way to get around it and lost them. I replaced the Preferences file with a backup copy I keep on my desktop and all worked as it should until later in the day when I tried to "save as" a file and got the same message. I tried just "save" and that worked. I don't know what is happening (or why), but hope I don't have to reinstall Photoshop. Sounds like you're really knowledgeable, so if you find a reason (or fix) for the problem, please let me know. I definitely don't have knowledge about debugging, so need all the help I can get.Return to posts indexReport Post•Re: "Could not complete your request because of a program error."by TerryL on Sep 1, 2005 at 8:38:54 pmDid you try using a Save As and renaming the photos? I had a similar problem and could not save photos, but only one set from a particular camera. Othe

Photoshop Fix: Could not complete your request because of a program error from Yan Huang 2 years ago yanhuangme.com/my-videos/photoshop-fix-complete-request-program-error/ Did you could not encounter a "Could not complete your request because of a program error." pop up while you were trying to make changes or save a PSD in Adobe Photoshop? This is definitely a bug in Photoshop that is annoying and does not provide much to go off in terms of troubleshooting. While could not complete there could be many reasons for this error to occur, one of the common reasons is the PSD you are working with uses a different Type Engine than what your Photoshop is set to operate on. In order to resolve this problem so you can save to the PSD, you would go to Edit / Preferences / Type and change the Type Engine from East Asian to Middle Eastern and restart Photoshop. Unfortunately, this error isn't very descriptive about the actual issue. After browsing a few sites about this error, it appears to be related to file permissions. If you don't mind setting up a new user, one easy fix is to create a new admin user and use that account for Photoshop. Possible Fix - Using the Finder app, Hold down the Alt (Option) key when using the Go menu. The user library folder is listed below the current user's home directory. Note: After you open the Library folder, you can drag the Library icon from the top of that window to the Dock, Side Bar, or toolbar. That way, it's readily accessible. - You'll want to find the folder: /Users/USERNAME/Library/Application Support/Adobe - Unlock the folder - Apply Read Only to this and all inside folders for ‘staff' and ‘everyone' - Apply Read & Write for your username Leave a comment below to let us know if this method works for you or not.
