This is definitely a bug in Photoshop that is annoying and does not provide much to go off in terms of troubleshooting. While there could be many reasons for this error to occur, one of the common reasons is the PSD you are working with uses a different Type Engine than what your Photoshop is set to operate on. In order to resolve this problem so you can save to the PSD, you would go to Edit / Preferences
because of a program error.
