Could Not Load File Or Assembly An Attempt Was Made To Load A Program With An Incorrect Format
add a comment| 3 Answers 3 active oldest votes up vote 13 down vote accepted This error usually means that the assembly was not found. Try verifying that the file exists in the directory where your application is running. If you still can't figure out which file fails loading, try using a tool such as Fusion Log Viewer (run fuslogvw.exe from the Visual Studio command prompt), to determine which files the CLR was trying to load and from where, so that you can see exactly what failed. share|improve this answer answered Oct 22 '11 at 12:50 Ran 4,94111323 5 ... if the file isn't in your output folder and you'd expect it to be, make sure that for the reference you have "Copy Local" set true in the Properties window. –Jeremy McGee Oct 22 '11 at 12:57 I have the same error but i verified the files its in there and i set the copy local into true but the error still exist... –Datz Me Jul 2 '14 at 2:41 add a comment| Did you find this question interesting? I have not started using PRISM. If I put the control in a Shell, that also works well. The problem is if I put the control in a Module, it throws an error. The system cannot find the file specified. I really have no idea about that error. Does anyone have an idea how to fix it? EDIT:

Jun 27, 2008 10:55 AM|anand.kesavan|LINK Hi, I get this particular error only in our production environment. I have goggled and found lots of could not load solutions. But none of themworked. My application is launched in a clustered environment (4Web servers). And I am getting this error in all servers. I able tore-produce this error in my local environment by removing "Read& Execute"permission for this component. If this is a root cause of this particular error, thenthis errorshouldoccur for all other components implements in my project. I also verified thepermission type for all others DLLs and found thattheyhave same access as the error generating DLLs. So don'tthink this is related to any access issue. here with I copied the exact error message, your help wouldmuch appreciated An Error has occurred.Could not load file or assembly XXX, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies.
