Have you tried connecting to FTP with the IP address of the server instead of the domain name in-case the DNS has yet to propagate? » » FileZilla cannot connect to FTP account Threaded Mode | Linear Mode FileZilla cannot connect to FTP account 08-14-2013, 10:19 PM Post: #1 jsml Dreamling Posts: 5 Joined: Aug 2013 FileZilla cannot connect to FTP account I was in the middle of transferring my site from GoDaddy using FileZilla. There were over 12,000 files. About halfway through, it stopped working. I use the exact same credentials on FileZilla as I do on the WebFTP and it will not connect. I am going insane. I have already tried changing the account type (FTP, SFTP, shell), and it doesn't change a thing. These are the errors I get (below): it's either "critical," or it times out, or it says something about the port usually being in use by something else. (I have left the port out entirely, that didn't work either.) I'm going insane. WebFTP is not an option. I want it to pick up where it left off, and WebFTP is slower and has size limitations.
