Proftpd 530 Login Incorrect
01:25:03 pm » Hello, its me again.Since yesterday I have been experiencing a stupid 530 login authentication failed error critical error could not connect to server error message and i donīt know what it is. I keep getting this message everytime I try to connect to my proftpd-server

and it says: Could not connect to server. Critical error! Iīm at a loss, but Iīm sure that everything is alright. I havenīt change anything in my config. TLS Authentication works, it displays it right filezilla critical error could not connect to server before the error message appears.I have to mention that i added a new user to the system and tested his connection and it worked. I removed this user and then tried to login with the first added user and now i get this error message. I have no idea whats wrong. Ideas?Thanks in advance. Help! « Reply #2 on: July 21, 2009, 03:31:17 pm » Alright, I collected some informations now using the debugging option and I think i got it, hopefully.In one line it displays the following:USER ftp01 (Login failed): User in /etc/ftpusers/I installed gadmin a few days ago and it copied users to this file ftpusers. I actually donīt know what the use of this file is, never heard of it before. But ftp01, the user I currently use for the ftpserver is in this file and it says that he canīt connect.
