Fatal Error Acrobat Failed To Connect To A Dde Server Windows 7
6:51 PM Hi, I have problem in combining multiple files into single pdf. It seems to be hanged forever and finally pops an error window "Fatal Error - Acrobat failed to connect to a DDE server". Does anyone know how to solve it??Acrobat version: 9.5.2Windows 7 303964Views Tags: none (add) This content has been marked as final. Show 16 replies 1. Re: Acrobat failed to connect fatal error acrobat failed to connect to a dde server windows 8 to a DDE server Test Screen Name Aug 17, 2012 12:29 AM (in response to iepias) Do you have something called "Symantec Endpoint Security". I just did a search and found some mentions that this stops stuff from working. Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions 2. Re: Acrobat failed to connect to a DDE server iepias Aug 21, 2012 2:32 AM (in response to Test Screen Name) No, I didn't. Finally I uninstalled and went back to Acrobat Pro 9.0.0 and it worked fine. So I suspect that the problem is due to some problem in version updates. Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions 3. Suddenly: When opening a PDF or attempting to print to PDF the message:"Fatal Error - Acrobat failed to connect to a DDE server" I have users experiencing the exact same message only in Citrix (never on a local machine). The issue is intermittant. We are using Adobe Acrobat Professional 9.5.1. We do not have Symantec Endpoint security enabled. Back leveling

Stage 2: If Adobe will not launch The Adobe DDE error fix of disabling Enhanced security protected mode relies on adobe being able to launch… If it cannot launch https://support.lincoln.ac.uk/entries/62872339-Adobe-DDE-Error-fix you cannot apply stage 1 Reset Adobe App data in the users H drive – This is usually in 2 places – Their App data and RDS folders both contain adobe subfolders with Adobe reader data in it… rename these to reader.old for example - You may need to be a little creative in spotting the folders as they appear under different names/Variations There is also a fairly obvious file in the ‘softgridclient’ folder – If this is present rename this as well. I may not be there Once these are renamed, REBOOT the machine - This is important to flush the system This should get adobe working to the state where you can disable protected mode Topic is closed for comments Support Software by Zendesk
