Dell A940 Printer Hardware Error 0502
A490.Restart again. It worked for me. Good luck. - Anonymous 2 I'm having exactly the same problem, as in getting the c50 error message. I also have refilled my cartridges a few times, but for me it seems to be the color one causing problems. Maybe Dell has something going on so it can detect the same cartridge going in over and over and does that so you have to buy a new one? Tempted to dell a940 ink cartridges walmart just buy a new printer that I can purchase cartridges for locally, instead of having to order them, I hate ordering them!! by smiley_face2 on Dec 13, 2005 at 7:14pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 1 thanks for the reply....that's what I was thinking about doing, replacing the tops. The black tops are a lot harder to get off, they are glued all the way round. I wonder if it's a set number of times you can remove and reinstall the cartridge, or if it's a date thing....the tech guy was saying it was a year since I bought my last cartridge...and I needed to buy a new one, like that had some bearing on the situation, makes sense as well because the black one is not as old as the color one and it's the color one causing my error message. I'm sure there is some good hacker worth his salt out there that would know how to stop this error message....surely it's just a programing thing in the printer. One of the things he had me do was unplug the printer (power) and hold down the power button for 15 seconds then plug it back in. Trying to reset something I assume. Maybe I'll experiment today...... by Anonymous on Dec 14, 2005 at 7:56am Add comment Please sign in to comment 1 There

Dell A940 Printer Driver Windows 7
Nov 20, 2005 Messages: 1,895 All of a sudden, it seems that my printer has stopped dell a940 printer driver windows 7 64 bit working. It was working fine the last time I used it (2 days ago), but now it won't work. It turns on fine, dell a940 printer manual but when I try to print something I get a "Cartridge Error: 50C" message. It tells me to refer to the owner's manual, which I did. A copy of the manual can be found here: http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/a940/a940en1.pdf The error basically http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/posts/33801 seems to mean that one or both of the cartridges is defective. It had me take out one cartridge and see if the error happens again. I had both cartridges in and I got the error message. I took out the colour one and the error message went away. I put the colour one back in and I got the error message again. So it seems that the colour ink cartridge is defective!?! Of course, my stupid printer https://forums.techguy.org/threads/solved-printer-error.592935/ won't let me print a black-and-white document while the colour cartridge is out of it's socket, but if it's in, I get the error message, so either way I can't get anything to print right now. I'd hate to spend $40 on a new cartridge while my current one has more than half-full still. But the instructions seem to state that the cartridge is short-circuited or something and must be replaced. What's up. 8dalejr.fan, Jul 7, 2007 #1 Sponsor frankjohn Joined: Nov 20, 2005 Messages: 2,798 Might want to do a maint. on printer if you havent done 1 latley?[worth doing even though you might have to change cartridge frankjohn, Jul 7, 2007 #2 8dalejr.fan Thread Starter Joined: Nov 20, 2005 Messages: 1,895 Printer maintenance? I would clean the contact board on the back of the cartridges and on the printers cartridge harness with a few Q tips and 99 % isopropyl alcohol, let it sit for a minute and try again, if that did not help just get new cartridges or get another printer.
