DirectX 9 "has not passed Windows Logo testing"! 6 posts greenring7 Wise, Aged Ars Veteran Registered: Feb 11, 2001Posts: 108 Posted: Wed Mar 12, 2003 5:48 am I'm running windows XP, with the native directx installation. I tried to run the ATI Dolphin Demo (I just got a new Radeon 9100 128mb) and it says "This Demo requires hardware support of N-Patches:Well, I've directx error s1023 got the Catylist 3.1's, so I figure, I'll install directx 9 (as I can't find 8.1 for download).Well, after downloading the normal runtime and getting "The Software you are installing has not passed Windows Logo Testing to verify its compatability with Windows XP. this software will not be installed. Contact your system administrator" and rebooting, cleaning out the prefetch and temp directories and it still not working, I did the same and tried installing the full downloadable version and getting the same error.How do I convice this infernal thing that Directx9 is Windows Logo passed, or disable checking for Windows Logo certification, or how do I manually install DX9, or how do I fix this in some other way I've not though of?-Robert magic_p Ars Tribunus Angusticlavius Tribus: Everett, WA Registered: Aug 14, 2000Posts: 9025 Posted: Wed Mar 12, 2003 6:58 am I just rebuilt my machine over the past two days after I did a major upgrade. I used the DirectX 9 download from http://www.microsoft.com/windows/directx/downloads/drx90.aspIt worked just fine I didn't have any problem at all.
