controller error on \Device\Harddisk0. and then followed with the below error message Event ID 15: The device, \Device\Scsi\symmpi1, is not ready for access yet.Essentially what happened in both cases is the VM Guests were unresponsive so I had to kill the vmware processes running them. When they came back online I checked the event log and noticed that it was filled with these events. Anyone the driver detected that the device device harddisk0 dr0 has its write cache enabled know what I need to do to resolve this? I don't want any more VM Guests to hang. Please help. This is giving me lot of headaches. 10213Views Tags: none (add) This content has been marked as final. Show 4 replies 1. Since that, once a day, on a single Windows 2003 EE Server we receive about 200 error entries in system log.All of them appear within 2 seconds and contain following data:1: Source : symmpi, Event id: 15 "The device \Device\Scsi\symmpi1, is not ready for access yet"2. Source: Disk, Event id : 11 "The dr

This error gets thrown a lot https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/26918549/The-driver-detected-a-controller-error-on-Device-Harddisk0.html a lot of times within a minute (like 100 errors within a minute), and then the errors stop. This happens 1 time a day... My other virtual servers don't throw errors like this, so it can't be an hardware failure i think... VMwaretools is installed succesfully on this server and is up to date. What could be the reason and how can i prevent this errors from be thrown... thanks in advance kind regards 0 Question by:techneitsolutions Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 51 Active 4 days ago Best Solution byNetman66 The Host with the Harddisk error is suggesting you may have a local drive going bad. On this server I have internal RAID volumes, an external iSCSI drive (DroboPro), and several USB 2.0 hard drives attached. How can I determine what hard drive / storage device is "\Device\Harddisk2\DR2"? Thanks in advance for any feedback. That's the first place I looked but I'm unsure how to correlate Harddisk2\DR2 to any of those drives. Is "DR2" = "Disk 2"? Attached is a screenshot for reference.
