Eio 2 Error Hp 4000

only takes a few minutes. Join Now What could cause an HP LaserJet 4050tn printer to display an "87.0007 EIO 2 Error"? It could be a co-incidence that this error began displaying a few days ago after I set Spiceworks to start 82.0180 eio 2 error hp printer doing scheduled inventory scans. I don't believe it is the result of a scheduled Spiceworks inventory 82.0180 eio 2 error hp 4050 scan because it doesn't happen when the rescan link for the device is clicked. Any thoughts? In this particular case, the problem was found to be caused by excessive SNMP network scan! Turn on the printer. Reseat the EIO board. It might be possible to upgrade the EIO card firmware, although sometimes it is not possible to connect to it when the printer is

Reseat the EIEIO cards and update the firmware. We have a few 4050's on the network and they run fine with spiceworks. If you find the card has gone bad, I recommend Depot America for replacement LJ Parts. 0 Ghost Chili OP Curtis3363 Sep 1, 2009 at 3:19 UTC If the cards are locked by and SNMP community string the upgrade through Web Jetadmin will override it. Usually I seat it in another slot upgraded and put back. 0 This discussion has been inactive for over a year. You may get a better answer to your question by starting a new discussion. Wendell Huneycutt : Hello, my name is XXXXX XXXXX I want to do everything possible to resolve your problems! Good Morninig! This error is refering to a failure of the EIO device plugged into slot #2 on the back of your printer. Either a JetDirect card (NIC) or a hard drive. If you are using an Ethernet card, power off the printer and remove the device from http://www.justanswer.com/printers/5rp83-hp-laserjet-4000-getting-82-0180-eio-error-computer.html slot 2 (they are marked) then power on and see if code is gone. If the code clears, then power off and put the card into slot 1 and repower on. If the code reappears, the card is bad and will need to be replaced. Special note: the JetDirect 615 card is notorius for failing. The best place to buy a new one (non 615) is Ebay. Please keep me informed and we will get your problem resolved! All printers pull a reserved ip address from their dhcp server eveytime the network eio 2 error is initialized. Also ports are designated for each device. The office person was out and their computer was off so I could not personally try test prints. When I arrived to this printer it had a message saying Processing that it was stuck on. I rebooted and it got all the way to "Cartridge Installed" and it would not go away. Would not respond to key presses and shows a steady green Ready light. Removing the cartridge made no change but motor would cycle after closing door. 2nd reboot same thing except the Data light was steady green as well. Removed lan cable and all accessories and it would boot ok. Then after a few seconds of inserting lan cable it will show Processing forever. One time after booting without the network cable I tried to print a config page. 1st page came out then it was just stuck with the message "Printing Configuration". Other times this did not happen. Config page shows error 82.0180 which is a network error. Also I saw this error come up one time while I was there. Printer has 615N jetdirect card and I tried installing it from EIO 2 to 1. Printer will not boot all the way and get stuck on "***************". Put card back into slot 2. Eventually I could even boot to ready even with network cable. Before it goes to processing the config page shows it pulls the ip address everytime.
