Winsock Error Code 10060 Exchange 2013
Hello everyone! Recently, some (not all) of our email have not pop3 error 10060 been received by outside users. I was thinking it could be due to SPAM filtering but when I ran SMTPDIAG ftp error 10060 it brought up this error: Checking MX servers listed for user@mycompany.com. Connecting to mail.companyXYZ.com [192.168.0.10] on port 25. Connecting to the server failed. Error: 10060 Failed to submit mail

to mail.companyXYZ.com. I get this error even to mail domains that users receive our email. Why is our outgoing mail trying to connect to the firewall interface address?? Feb 4, 2010 at 12:28 UTC Could it be that certain hosts your domain may not have a reverse dns record setup? When you send mail to certain domains the recipients server will perform a reverse lookup on your e-mail, so if you send an e-mail from your exchange server the reverse lookup will expect to find the ip address of your exchange servers external address. You can either contact your isp and ask them to add a ptr entry or use a smart host to send your mail (configurable in the routing group connector) 0 Sonora OP Dagoof2k8 Feb 4, 2010 at 12:53 UTC Hi Air, I already looked into the PTR record and had it changed but I still get the same error when I run SMTPDIAG. I also checked my local DNS server and I do not have any MX record entries. I was investigation why SMTPDIAG queries the 192.168.0.10 address (Outside interface of our firewall when it does its check. Any ideas where SMTPDIAG is resolving that MX address? 0 Poblano OP kursat4349

My ServerA is a MS Exchange 2010 server with domainA.com. My ServerB is a POP3/IMAP server (smartermail) associated with https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/28393580/MS-Exchange-Cannot-connect-10060.html domainB.com. Both servers are on the same building but each has a different public IP. My router manages the two IP addresses and it is dispatching the TCP ports to the appropriate servers. The public address of domainB.com is 184.xxx.33.242. Everything is working well except that my ServerA (MS Exchange, domainA.com) is incapable of sending emails to ServerB (smartermail, domainB.com). ServerB receives all emails from everywhere I tested and is also able to send emails to ServerA/domainA. ServerA/domainA is capable of sending everywhere but to serverB/domainB. All my policies in my router have been reviewed by the manufacturer and they say its A1. My MS Exchange is returning me this error when I try to send to ServerB/domainB: 2014-03-20T17:17:19.149Z,ServerA Exchange SMTP Connector,08D10BB7805F0579,1,,184.xxx.33.242:25,*,,"Failed to connect. I been reading a lot about this error, 541 4.4.0 Primary target IP address responded with error 10060 : "421 4.4.2 Connection dropped." Attempted fail over to alternate host, but that did not succeed. Either there are no alternate host, or delivery failed to all alternate hosts. but have not found any help to my problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. with email. When I try and send an email to 2 specific domains they are not sent. After investigation of what happened to them this is what I find. From what I can see all other domains for fine. Incoming email is working fine as well. I am not familiar with the "421 4.2.1 Unable to connect" error. I know the 2 domains are fine because they are mine and I am receiving email without issue, but just not from THIS SBS2011 server sitting at a client site. When I'm on the SBS2011 server itself I can nslookup the 2 domains and validate the mx. I can ping them as well. What is going on? It is akin to shouting down a valley "Is John there" and getting back a reply "Yes". It doesn't tell you if it was John who replied. The only valid test is to telnet to port 25 of the MX record host. That will tell you if the other side is accepting your message. The fact that domain is good doesn't really matter. If the remote side is doing some kind of blocking of the connection then your email will not go through. Could be the FQDN on the Send Connector, being on a dynamic IP address or a missing PTR. Lots of reasons. Simon.Simon Butler, Exchange MVP Blog | Exchange Resources | In the UK? Hire Me.
