Windows 7: POP3 mail connect error 10060 07 Feb 2011 #1 IMD 421 cannot connect to smtp server Windows 7 Ultimate x64 3 posts POP3 mail connect error 10060 I have a bit of a mindbending email problem. Recently I moved my email server from one server to another (all hosted) and how to fix error code 10060 since the move my incoming email for this account has stopped working. I can send, but not receive email. When I try to connect for inbound I get Connect Error 10060 - a socket error that implies the server is not responding. However from another machine in the same network I can happily telnet to port 110. From my main machine I can also happily telnet to port 25 on that box... just not

port 110. I've checked the registry for any hardcoded references to my domain/port, but there's nothing untoward. So i'm lost... It's not an Outlook issue as telnet has the same problem. If I turn off a/v (Avast) and Firewall (Windows) I get the same result It cant be DNS because it resolves to the right IP but just won't connect to that port Has anybody got a clue what else I can do to diagnose or fix? The error persists , I have another way to test if the SMTP is working OK?. The installation is by default, according to the Ubuntu Guide 10.10. And you sit. I was not able to 'telnet localhost 110' after a brand new install of Qmail. I did as noted below: I slowly increased the softlimit on the qmail-pop3d/run file and now I am http://www.commentcamarche.net/forum/affich-3103392-outlook-erreur-421-n-d-erreur-0x8000ccc67 able to connect with 'telnet localhost 110' after reaching 7000000. I was still unable to connect via Outlook Express so I checked the cisco router config and it was missing the pop3 line for NAT. I added it error 10060 in and now all is good! Have a great day!
