Recently I moved my email server from one server to another (all hosted) and since the move my incoming email for this account has stopped working. I can send, but https://www.howtoforge.com/community/threads/smtp-and-outlook-error-10060-0x800ccc0e.52242/ not receive email. When I try to connect for inbound I get Connect Error 10060 - a socket error that implies the server is not responding. However from another machine in the same network I can happily telnet to port 110. From my main machine I can also happily telnet to port 25 on that box... just not port 110. I've checked the registry for any hardcoded references to my domain/port, but there's nothing untoward. So i'm lost... It's not an http://www.sevenforums.com/browsers-mail/143171-pop3-mail-connect-error-10060-a.html Outlook issue as telnet has the same problem. If I turn off a/v (Avast) and Firewall (Windows) I get the same result It cant be DNS because it resolves to the right IP but just won't connect to that port Has anybody got a clue what else I can do to diagnose or fix? However, with all shields enabled I cannot receive messages on the accounts. I get the following error message in Outlook:'XXX Account - Receiving' reported error (0x800CCC0F) : 'The connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem continues, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP). The server responded: -ERR Cannot connect to POP server 71.74.56.75 (71.74.56.75:995), connect error 10060'I'm using port 110 for POP and 25 for SMTP, which match Avast redirect settings. I'm not using a software firewall except for the one built into Windows 7, and I don't see any entries for Outlook there. This problem started sometime within the past 6 months. Everything was working fine before that. Any ideas?
