Error 1075 The Dependency Service Does Not Exist Security Center
Postedover 5 years ago XP Computer Browser service can't be started – Error 1075 This error 1075 the dependency service does not exist or has been marked for deletion windows 10 question is not answered Posted by panos333 on 10 Dec 2010 19:55 I tried to create a home network with Win7 and XP Pro error 1075 windows 10 but ran into problems. My XP Pro Computer Description widow is blank and I can't enter a description. Found out I needed to start Computer Browser in system services. I attempt to start and get the following message: Could https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/839089 not start the Computer Browser service on Local Computer. Error 1075: The dependency service does not exist or have been marked for deletion. I tried a search but couldn't turn up anything helpful at Microsoft or the Internet. Does anyone have any suggestion how to solve? Like 0 Reply You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available. Posted by panos333 on 13 Dec 2010 18:07 Hi Rick, I tried both the solutions; the first one twice and the comprehensive one once. I kept getting the message that "rundll32" was not a valid internal/external command. I went through the whole procedure to make sure what got turned off was turned back on. On the last time on the first procedure, a Windows Management Console came up without any values. It didn't look like the one I get when running services.msc. I think I'm just going to go without a network since I'll probably be fazing out the old PC. If I decide to keep it as a backup I'll go ahead and do a clean install of XP and maybe that will fix it. Thanks for all your help. Peter Like 0 Reply You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available. Want to share files between desk and laptop. The desktop gains no access to workgroups. What I found out so far. Computer browser service must be enabled (preferably automatic). I get Could not start Computer Browser Service on Local Computer Error 1075: The dependancy service does the dependency service not exist or has been marked for deletion. The service name is svchost.exe -k netsvcs One fix is After setting the restore point, to remove this dependency, do this: * Click: Start * Click: Run... * Type: regedit * Click: OK * Navigate to the following keys in the registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\DHCP HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\NetBT * For each of these, on the right side, double-click: DependOnService * Delete any lines containing either SYMTDI or NISDRV. * Click: OK * Close the Registry Editor. * Reboot. Alright if I could find the right side double clickable option which I dont see anywhere in my registry edit,... damn. Any other fixes appreciated. Clean install would take me about 2 weeks to get all my appz reinstalled and fix disks have been a bad experience. Any other help most welcome.
