Acrobat 9 to 11. I keep getting stuck at "Error 1304.Error writing to file c:\ProgramData\Adobe\AdobePDF\Distiller\Example Files\RINFILEX.PS Verify that you have access to that directory." I have tried installing as an Admin but that doesn't work. Can someone help me? You actually do noth ave access to this location. You can try visiting this location and manually try to create a file here. You will know if you have permissions.2. This file is in use by some other process. Please check if any other Adobe application or Acrobat 9 itself might be using it.3. In case you have some back-up plans / virus scans running then they might be using this file moementarily and hence giving you the error.4. [path to directory]. Installation cannot continue. Log on as an Administrator or contact your System Admin." -- "Error 1304: Error writing to [file name]. Verify that you have access to that directory." Solutions Do one of the following solutions: Solution 1: Temporarily disable simple file sharing and change permissions. (Windows XP Professional and 2000). Disable simple file sharing (Windows XP Pro only) and change the permissions for the All Users folder. Then install Acrobat.
